Purifico Ozone is building high-tech water treatment systems that operate in multi-million-dollar facilities. The overall goal is to supply high-quality systems that increase customers’ profits. Darren and his team at GC supported the design and manufacturing of metal cabinets, frames, and miscellaneous metal parts.
These water treatment systems are typically installed when businesses are dealing with pathogen issues in their water. Purifico notes it is not uncommon for customers to increase revenue almost immediately after installation. One early installation was nearing bankruptcy, but within months, the system helped a $200M facility increase production 4X. That facility now supplies lettuce to most Wendy’s restaurants across Canada, as well as local supermarkets.
Purifico needed a specialized cabinet and frame to house and protect their high-tech components, but the only options available were off-the-shelf cabinets that did not meet their needs. That meant finding a partner who could help design the system from the ground up. There were tight deadlines at times early on, but Purifico notes that GC now keeps some of their products in stock to help support ongoing demand.
GC Custom Metal collaborated closely with the Purifico team to deliver precisely what was needed for the project. Being able to collaborate with GC drafting during the design process was critical, and Purifico notes that the owner has visited their shop multiple times to help refine the product further.
Purifico has revised its systems a few times since the first builds, so having a company work directly with them and listen to their requests was, and still is, important. The final outcome has been some of the most seamless and professional water treatment systems in the multi-billion-dollar greenhouse industry.
Purifico says its systems have been seamlessly integrated into businesses due to their sleek, professional designs. Purifico also notes that where competitors have failed, they have succeeded due to the intelligent design of their systems, largely because they have been able to work with GC. Purifico reports that customers from Canada to Mexico have benefitted, improving their bottom line and, in some cases, saving their businesses entirely. They also say it is common to hear from industry professionals that the systems are beautiful and intelligently designed.
